About

Why I started.

EVERY WORD AN EXPERIENCE

In these posts, I aim to share the unfiltered insights into what life looks like for someone in their mid twenties, who has decided to get a grip on their financial life.

The realisation that this debt will not go away if I just ignore it, that my situation won’t get better if I continue to behave like I have, that my partner needs to be aware of the pickle I have landed myself in left me with some serious anxiety around my money circumstances.

Only when I decided to share my pain with my partner, did a weight feel like it was lifted.

Everyday, I will make it my mission to improve my situation, until the debt is gone, there is significant savings in the bank and my retirement fund is looking healthier.

This website is where I will be sharing everything I have learned about myself, the revelations on which behaviours and habits got me into the hole, and what I’m doing to get out of it.

As someone who has made their fair share of errors, I want to share these experiences so the readers who may or may not relate can act as my accountability partners. The aim is to share insights into the mistakes in which I’ve made, with the hope of deterring readers from making the same ones.

I have experienced so much anguish and pain when it comes to money, and only now am I comfortable with accepting where I am at, taking accountability for it, and coming up with a plan on how to correct it.

I hope the readers and visitors to this site find value in what they read. And can share their own experiences with me.

If you want to start to digest some of the content I will be sharing, then head over the the blog posts section to start reading. I will be sharing blog posts on a weekly basis, which will be all around the different aspects of personal finance for a modern-day human being.
